Gender discrimination begin in childhood. From the moment they’re born, girls and boys face unequal gender norms as well as social norms regarding expectations and access to resources and opportunities, with lifelong consequences – in their homes, schools and day to day life.
This should be eradicated by giving equal rights, responsibilities and opportunities, regardless of gender norms, identities or expressions. A world where everyone is equally recognized, respected and valued.

Hello, I believe being a woman we should celebrate ourselves daily. We should pat our back for the work we do with so much of unconditional love & devotion. We sacrifice all our priorities and at times keep our mental and physical health on stake. In return our expectations are just to get an understanding family. I applaud for all the daughters, wives & mothers and just request them to recognise their worth. No one can stand in comparison with them. You are best gift of God to this society. Love yourself. Happy Women’s Day!

As a university student in the city of London, women empowerment is prevalent in various different discussions. This is a really important theme to be well informed as there can be many misunderstandings – to address the question of different ethnicities, I myself have observed in my day to day interaction with the vast majority international students regarding the role that the women role models play in our lives. For instance, regardless of the cultural differences many mother’s continue to be a source of inspiration and guidance – standing with us throughout the milestones of life’s journey!

Hello. Depending on their ethnicity, women’s status in India varies greatly; cultural norms, financial circumstances, and historical background all have an impact on their lives. In addition to having fewer access to economic, healthcare, and educational opportunities, women from marginalized ethnic groups frequently deal with heightened rates of violence and discrimination. These hindrances limit their independence and sustain gender disparities. Nonetheless, women of all ethnic backgrounds contribute in a variety of ways to their communities and hold important positions in contemporary society. They advocate for social change and give others confidence while working as leaders, educators, caregivers, and business owners. Women influence society through their tenacity, activism, and contributions to a variety of fields. They propel advancement and promote inclusive communities.

In my opinion, the status and experiences of women vary globally, influenced by factors like socioeconomic status, culture, and ethnicity, which can lead to disparities in rights, education, and employment. Traditionally, women have been responsible for household and caregiving tasks, but they increasingly participate in the workforce, balancing professional and domestic roles. Women face challenges such as gender-based violence, discrimination, and unequal representation in leadership. Inequality is perpetuated through discriminatory practices, social norms, and stereotypes. Addressing gender inequality requires multifaceted efforts, including legal reforms, education to challenge stereotypes, economic empowerment, and engaging men in these efforts. Women’s participation in society is crucial for sustainable development and social justice, as their perspectives and contributions lead to innovative solutions and enrich communities. Empowering women and ensuring their full participation are essential for achieving more inclusive, equitable, and prosperous societies.
